Dr. Benedicta Okoye has a wide range of clinical experience; she has worked in the healthcare field for over two decades. She is a doctorate prepared Family Nurse Practitioner as well as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She believes in treating every patient uniquely as they present.
Dr. Okoye received her nursing education from Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach Florida where she obtained her Bachelors of Nursing degree in 2002. She continued to work as a critical Nurse and open-heart nurse over the years till 2012.
She went back to school to obtain her master in Nursing from South University in Savannah GA, credentialed by the AANP as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Okoye then proceeded to bag her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Post-Master Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Degree at Brandman University in Irvine, California and is credentialed by ANCC.
Dr. Okoye believes that it is important to consider biological, psychological, and social factors when addressing behavioral health concerns which is why she is developed to developing balanced, holistic care plan that supports each client in their journey of healing and growth. She is warm, approachable and engages with each individual helping them to be empowered to make informed decisions.
